Nice pome Hugh,
Here’s that piccy I was on about before. I suppose motorists have to decide which fine is cheaper, bus lane or Zil lane and take their pick.
Easy-peasy. Straddle the white line 🙂
So then you get a fine and points on your licence for not exercising proper lane discipline. Grrrr
crikey
Nice pome, Janus. I’m impressed but I’m trying to avoid the whole subject, which is proving a little difficult.
As for the idiocy of even thinking about driving in London……
Is that bus named ‘GO’? A breach of the Trade Descriptions Act, I fear.
Arrers, here’s an idea: a pome entitled ‘What to do when they’re all watching the games’. 🙂
Well there’s a thought, Janus 😉
Ooooochhh!!!!
I recall somebody getting into serious trouble for parodying an anthem, anybody remember ‘God save our gracious team’ round about the time of last years RWC?
Okay, on the bus/olympic lane.
Allow me to correct a misconception which I’m reading here not for the first time. I may be 6,000 miles away but I do read the papers!
This particular olympic lane isn’t in operation yet, starts sometime next week I believe, there have been notices, leaflets, ads advising residents of the procedures, there are even large signs (conveniently out of picture [not your fault ferret]) which stipulate the times that the olympic lane is in operation, these notices / signs also stress that during these times the bus lane is to be used by all non-olympic traffic.
The above info furnished by a resident of the area on one of the tabloid comments pages yesterday.
Yes, indeed, Soutie, so I understand, but forgive me if I just feel like hiding behind the sofa until this awfulness is over.
G’morgen, Soutie! How dare you come up with facts? You’ve spoiled some really satisfying prejudices now! 🙂
Oops! 😳
I really liked the report that the olympic ring paint on the road was such rubbish it has started wearing off with only a couple of days use!
CO, do you have a subscription to ‘Bash the Brits’ magazine or wha’? 🙂 Or do you just read the Daily Mail?
