Boadicea and I will be absent from The Chariot from some time early on the 11th July (next Wednesday) until the evening of Saturday the 14th (3 days later), if all eventuates in accordance with the promises of our various service providers. When we reappear, it will be from our new home. Actually, on the 11th and 12th we shall be staying with elder daughter, so we may possibly pop up for a short while by hitching a lift on her WiFi.
It hasn’t taken long to sell, buy, settle and move, has it? 5 weeks from start to finish – wow! 😀
Amazingly quick! Have a crisis-free move, you two! Don’t over-do it, though.
wow indeed, good luck.
I do hope it all goes smoothly for you both. 🙂
Best of luck!
It’s as organised as we can make it – the removers pack Tuesday, move us out on Wednesday, we settle on Thursday and move in on Friday.
We’ve staggered the days so that we can do the first bit of the move at a leisurely pace. I will be hanging around to make sure that everything is labelled properly because the worse bit will be unpacking at the other end…
… and I know myself far too well to think I’ll be happy living with boxes around me for any length of time!
Is this a record? 🙂
Good luck with the moving. Hope nothing valuable gets damaged 🙂
Very sensible to spread it over 4 days, good stress reducer!
Best wishes for a good move.
The real killer is when you move and some is going in one direction, some another and a third batch staying in situ. I was reduced to colour coded dots, it substituted for being everywhere at once, actually it worked better than I would have thought proving removers can see colour if not read!!!
Round here its forget the house where is the pantechnicon for the plants?
Good luck.
Very best wishes for the move.
All the above, Boadicea. Hope it goes well and best wishes. 🙂
Whoops! Missed this one earlier. Good luck with the move.
Remember if you need another pair of hands to help, don’t worry about the 9,621 miles in between. I’ll be there in a second. 🙂
TR, 9621? Is that including diversions for roadworks?
Thanks for the good wishes. We are sitting surrounded by boxes and just heading out for the restaurant! Our internet goes off sometime tomorrow… see you all soon 🙂
Am I the only person who finds the timing of this move extremely suspicious?
