You may or may not have noticed (or care) that I have not been posting on the Chariot recently for several reasons.
A) Mrs FEEG had that operation that nearly one in four ladies end up having, not for any sinister reason but more because of fighting a losing battle with gravity. I am sure the ladies here know what I mean, and the gents do not want to know 🙂 Anyway, to help her with her convalescence, I was doing my blue-arsed fly impersonation dashing about after her and have not had too much time to post. I am glad to say she has now fully recovered and is as fit as a fiddle again.
B) I was on the organising committee for a big college Alumni Reunion weekend and that took up a fair bit of my time and energy. We have now held the weekend and it proved very successful. I even met a couple of girls (well, mature ladies now) who were on the same course as me at Uni., and whom I have not seen since graduation.
C) We have just returned from a visit to our son and daughter-in-law in Washington DC. As our son now has dual citizenship, he can vote in the forthcoming presidential election and as he is a member of UKIP, you can imagine his chagrin when the local Obama campaign HQ was set up in an empty office at the end of their road. Anyway, apart from that we had a great time, doing many things we have not done before in DC. One particularly good trip was a tour around DC in a DUKW, an amphibious WW2 truck converted to carry passengers. We saw some parts of DC we had not seen before, and when the DUKW went into the River Potomac, we had an interesting river cruise as well. Particularly as there is a pair of breeding ospreys who have built a nest on the pillar of a railway bridge there and have some chicks. (Before you ask, no, I did not get any photos, my camera had a flat battery!)
Anyway, after all that, I hope I will have more time to annoy you all with my trivial posts again!
Hmm, seems I’m not the only one who was AWOL!
My best wishes to Mrs FEEG. Good to see you back!
Glad to hear that Mrs FEEG doesn’t need your undivided attention, but sorry to hear that she has been indisposed.
Good to see you back. 🙂
Hi FEEG, firstly, good news Mrs FEEG is OK and secondly, it’s always good to see another ruggerista back on board again. 🙂
Nice to see you
to see you nice. 🙂
Good to see you FEEG.
Glad Mrs FEEG is now fully restored to health. 😆
Good morning FEEG; glad to hear your news and that all is OK.
Hello, FEEG. CO will be pleased you’ve given us a full account of your absence. 😉
Of course!
The Welsh always need to know!
One must have some kind of narrative in the action, huge unexplained gaps are either boring or suspect!
So thank you FEEG, cheers.
Janus if a few more people were a bit more nosy then we wouldn’t have this business of people being dead on their floors for three months and rotting before discovery.
Thanks to you all for your good wishes for Mrs FEEG. As she has her feet up on the sofa and is supping a Queen Mother sized G&T, I think we can say she is OK..
