For the avoidance of doubt, it it would seem that there really is only one team in Embra. I do not care if any other Charioteer cares about that. I do.
More later once I limp back from naked and primitive triumphalism on Gorgie Road. Gave my ticket away because of the limping. Probably won’t do the naked but will definitely be doing the primitive triumphalism.
Question: When did Hibs last win the Scottish Cup?
Answer: Ten years before ‘Titanic’ hit that iceberg.
I for one fully understand your joy.
I’m a lifelong Eastern Province supporter, we’ve never won anything.
So, as a result of my stay up on the highveld I support Northern Transvaal (Blue Bulls) in major competitions, I at least have some affiliation to Loftus and Pretoria.
See the shirt on the left, I bought one today (I’m actually wearing it now) they are priced at R700 (± £60) in the shops, I paid R180 (£15) today from a local vendor.
People say it’s pink, but it’s more purple than pink, who cares? I like it!
Nothing wrong with unstinted emotion!
Whatever keeps you happy, JM. Personally I didn’t realise it was possible to have a Scottish Cup Final without Rangers and Celtic.
Soutie, you must glow in the dark with that top.
So that’s why my mates had their sunglasses on in the pub where we were watching the rugby earlier 😎
Talking about cup finals, I’ve just finished watching some Russian’s team win a trophy for what appears to be the first time, a good day for the ‘also rans’ it appears 😉
Aye weel, Soutie, things have only got better.
I am a seriously delighted Jam Tart (aka Heart of Midlothian) fan but I am also an ecstatic Chelsea fan. Signed up to the Stamford Bridge experience when I went down to visit Big Sis in about 1965 and was privileged to be able to watch Charlie Cooke in his pomp and prime.
So, I had been there and done that before Abramovich bought the jerseys. Blue is the colour!
And the Sharks won and are still in with a chance. Tonight, my cup is in danger of running over.
I enjoyed seeing the Blues contain Bayern. Pretty it wasn’t but full marks to Di Matteo for tactical astuteness and use of relatively scarce talent. It was surprising to see Ribery and Robben reduced to nerves.
Not me, it’s like watching paint dry, grass grow, etc.
Fortunately for me the Stormers / Warratahs match only finished at about 10 to 9, I switched over to the football (which had already started) and promptly fell asleep.* I awoke 10 minutes into extra time and stayed tuned for the result, certainly not 120 minutes of edge of your seat entertainment!
*The Bulls played Otago at 07:00 yesterday, it was a long day
Soutie, that shirt colour is puce. Well some of it is; some of it looks like puke.
JM, I love it. Order reigns in Edinburgh. As for Chelsea, I had visitors from Ghana supporting d blues and one school friend of Essien. Drogba is the dogs bollocks. I an a Tottenham fan but in true Corinthian spirit, ended up shouting for the blues. PS I too saw Charlie’s dribbling wizardry. Enjoy today big time.
