Photo Competition #26, theme “Growing”.

It’s spring here and stuff is growing, the grass needs cutting and the asparagus needs eating.  In the southern hemisphere it must be getting near harvest time and those of us lucky enough to live between the tropic lines it is almost always growing season.  so without further preamble, the theme for this months comp. is GROWING.  That can mean garden vegetables, crops, flowers, shrubs or pets livestock or children.  Lots of scope there for a rich crop of entries, right?  Closing?  Lets make it midnight GMT May 22 ,  that’s also my 68th birthday, so judging maybe a little bit delayed the next day.

  1. Right come on you lot, let’s have some piccies! Here is an offering from me. One of Mrs FEEG’s strange pot plants on the front porch.

  2. One more go at the piccie comp. This shows the stages of growth from bud to flower, plus the knackered one 😦

  3. Happy Birthday for tomorrow, LW. I am about to suffer a broadband disconnection, so I may have trouble accessing the internet tomorrow.

  4. Thank you Ara. Broadband failure is a way of life here, satellite connection fails at the slightest hint of rain or clouds off to the South. I work about 50% of the time from a cell phone connection and even that is prone to dropouts (the nearest cellphone tower is about 15 miles across the bay). No Fibre or DSL for twenty miles, the joys of country living writ large.

  5. I think I live in a similar black hole, LW. TV, broadband and cell phones rarely perform here. We depend on a rather rusty wire, which seems to be too far from the exchange, and I haven’t tried satellite, but cable seems to be a distant dream.
