What a shame. It has just been announce that Philip Madoc, the actor, has died. He was one of the participants in one of my favourite TV clips of all time.

FEEG, I did not know his name, but that is an absolute classic.
I didn’t recognise his name either, but certainly remember the clip.
As you say, FEEG, what a shame. I remember him well on the telly when I was a cub. As regards Dad’s Army, I believe Clive Dunn (Corporal Jones) and Ian Lavander (Private Pike) are the only survivors from the starring cast. The former now lives in Portugal and is still performng on stage, albeit rarely.
OZ
what a good show this was, real humour and no bad language or nastiness.
It would never pass the censors now though die the The Fuzzy Wuzzies.
I remember him well FEEG. From various TV plays. In one play he wore a red tie and he was teasing the women to kiss it (the tie). He had a very strong sexual allure, with his clipped speech and foreign accent. An entertaining fellow. Thanks for the post.
