It was announced on the radio this morning that France has just voted in the most idiotic road rule ever.
From now on cyclists will be permitted to cross or ignore red traffic lights.
Not that I am adverse to killing a few frogs on the road, but if they are on a bike the peddles pedals may scratch my paintwork or damage the underside of the car.
I find that cyclists do tend to clog the wheel arches so.
On a serious note, if a law-abiding motorist runs over a cyclist jumping a red light, is the motorist prosecuted or can he sue the cyclist’s estate for damages to his vehicle?
OZ
Oz I don’t know the whole story, this was all he said on the radio this morning.
Normally in Europe if you hit a cyclist you are in the wrong, even if the cyclist is drunk, no lights, wearing black and driving at night; and they want to bring that rule in over here.
Any country with a Hungarian Greek jewish French President would be confused.
It’s different in France, you can smell a frenchman miles before there is any danger of hitting him. 🙂
Furry, I’d forgotten they all wear berets and carry strings of onions. 🙂
S’right Hugh,
The onions are the only things powerful enough to overcome the reek of the armpits. 🙂
Trouble is Ferret I can’t smell them through glass.
