Flying Rhinos

We’ve no shortage of rhinos down here, here’s a recent video of the efforts made to repopulate other regions. (E.P.Herald report here)

They moved nineteen of them!

  6. That is wonderful. But I found it so very disconcerting that they were being lifted just around the ankles, I wanted to add a strap or net around the back to take some of the weight!

    Interesting point, are you worried about them needing hip replacements some time in the future?

  8. Yes, I’m sure they do. But that’s a huge weight on those weight bearing limbs and joints which are not like monkey one’s (designed to swing weight as they swing in the trees!)

    I wouldn’t lift a human that way, unless thy were a small child (as in ‘a leg and a wing to see the king’) but even so it is not that unusual for a child to have a dislocated elbow or shoulder through being passively swung by an arm and a leg…
