  3. FEEG: Thank you.

    Sipu: Thank you too.

We’re at home, a beautiful day here sunny and warm. We had local oysters and lobster for dinner yesterday (a tradition). Today the family feast, roast turkey and all the trimmings, no pumpkin pie for me (have never acquired the taste) .

CO: That Christmas pud sounds good about now.

    Happy Turkey Day to all.

  4. Happy Thanksgiving, CO, Spousal Unit, hounds and friends. .

Broccoli? I take it that President George Bush the First is not on the guest list? Very sound on broccoli, in my opinion:-

‘I do not like broccoli. And I haven’t liked it since I was a little kid and my mother made me eat it. And I’m President of the United States and I’m not going to eat any more broccoli.’

The memory of his principled stand led me, as it obviously would, to google ‘vegetable aversions of US Presidents’. I discover that the Obama family (allegedly) do not like beetroot. Michelle is reported as saying:-

‘Neither the president nor I have the beet gene’

It’s not too late to add beetroot to your menu is it? I made beetroot curry as a side dish last week and it only took 20 minutes. Superb.

As a Cheesehead, celebrating your quaint Colonial Day by watching the mighty Pack stuffing the Detroit Lions. 11-0 record going to happen and on our way to win Superbowl yet again!

    The nosh sounds good.

I had hoped you might infer my disdain for Black Friday from my comment about it 🙂
