It was quite exciting – Boadicea was cheering the Welsh on in the dying minutes.
🙂
It was a good match, possibly not great. It would however have been a travesty if Wales had won by less than 5 points, as the forward pass that was not spotted by the officials and that allowed Wales to score their first try would have been more appropriate for the NFL Superbowl!
Still, I think it confirms my suspicion that the real Cup Final was last weekend. I cannot see France beating the All Blacks in an aeon of Sundays!
Well done the Wallabies, anyway.
I wonder who the lovely Juliar was supporting?
FEEG: she was probably busy finding a way to get a plush sinecure for herself after Australia kicks her to the kerb at the next election.
I was rather disappointed really, two strong defences neutralised each other most of the game. Nice to see the welsh didn’t complain this week about the English referee allowing them a try that wasn’t.
Well done the plucky Welsh but let us keep it in perspective. They lost to SA, France and Australia. Hardly a brand new dawn of rugby greatness. They have some good potential, I agree, but I expect the usual Welsh in-fighting will stifle the national team’s development. But still, better that than the cheating whining English. (good of the Kiwi head coach to morally decide not to cheat last week. Utter madness)
I was pleased to see both sides wanted to win and they both had great attitudes. The Aussies look like they have some good days ahead.
