I love Pork Pies – they try here, but they don’t succeed.
I’m not sure about this one – if it’s not made in Lincolnshire it isn’t a real pork pie. I was tempted to say “it’s not kosher” – but that’s not right is it!
That one gets my juices running!
Oh drool! That’s tthe cake for me.
Having said that, pork pies got me into the most terrible trouble recently. A friend of the NSW went to Gibralter and asked if she wanted anything brought back from the new Morrison’s there. Not having been back to Blighty for years, the NSW requested some pork pies. They duly arrived and for reasons I won’t bore you with ended up in my freezer. Shortly afterwards I was rummaging in there for a quick lunch and found them. Jolly nice they were too with a few pickles and a slice of cheese, but when she subsequently asked for them I had to ‘fess up. Jeez, talk about going ape-droppings!. I nearly got thrown out of The Cave and it’s my Cave.
