My small grandson got lost at the shopping centre.
He approached a uniformed security guard and said,
“I’ve lost my granddad!”
The guard asked, “What’s he like?”
The little tyke hesitated for a moment and then replied,
“Gin and tonic and women with big tits.”
🙂
Zen here’s one for you…
A recent study found that the average Aussie walks about 900 miles a year. Another study found that Aussies drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year. That means that, on average, Aussies get about 41 miles to the gallon!
🙂
mpg 41; in my army days, the standard was 10 miles in full kit in 2 hrs. This required sevral pints as recoery.I haven’t got a formula for comparison.
Same when I left, Zen. Don’t forget the carry your mate 100 yards – and his kit – at the end of it, and the climb into the 3-tonner, still in full kit…
God, how could one forget? The worst one I did was at Shoeburyness, dead flat and almost straight. It seemed never ending!
The CFT at Brecon was a real killer. Run whilst wearing a Gasmask and carrying 35 lbs of belt kit! If there was no froth in the mask when you took off, you hadn’t worked hard enough. Mind you, that was back in the 70’s and I was much younger.
🙂
Weren’t we all!
Lol.. 🙂
Ha, ha, toc, I was cavalry – didn’t have to do Brecon.
I agree about the dead flat runs, zen, I always found varied terrain much easier – mind, HK was a bit OTT 😀
