Thunderhead at Nautical Twilight

🙂

I couldn’t find a vantage point to get rid of those blasted poles and wires – I wanted to include the lights on the coast.

Yes Val, I know, I’ve done a Lady Macbeth and the spot is still there…  I’ll get it next time 😦

  1. Wiki refers to the ‘classic anvil shape’, well done you’ve certainly got one here, I like the pic despite the poles wires (and I hate to mention it, that dreaded spot) 😉

By the way, this is post number 3000 here, congratulations and before you ask, no, you don’t get a prize 🙂

  2. It is a very fine example of a thundercloud, Bravo.

I don’t dislike the poles and wires, it adds perspective; nothing wrong with that at all.

  3. I always meant to call one of my dogs Spot precisely so I could do a Lady Macbeth impression in front of visitors.

    Impressive storm cloud, Araminta.

  4. Good morning Bravo. superb photo. Some people would photoshop the poles and wires out of the shot, but I’m not one of them. Photographs are all about capturing a moment, and if that includes what we deem as unsightly objects, so be it. The moment you remove something, its not real or true.
A few weeks ago, I removed some far away people from a shot, and I immediately regretted doing something, that I was against doing. Leave well alone, even that spec is almost your personal mark 😉
    Its a lovely shot.

  5. Yes, its no doubt a speck of dust on the inner lens. You need a little puffer, blower, which you can buy from any good photography shop. Or, like I said before, you can use a straw, but be sure not to have saliva in your mouth before you blow. A small soft photography brush is even better. But ultimately, a blind man on a galloping horse , aint gonna see it, is he. Worry not.
