  1. What a shame, but I did mention the lack of response to all the competitions a while back. I have always supported them enthusiastically but I did suggest a break might be a good idea.

    I’m not in the right frame of mind for creativity, Bearsy, and I have other priorities at the moment. It’s also Summer and people tend to be out and about more.

  6. Awww, I’m sorry, Bearsy! You know I support The Chariot to the best of my limited ability and always try to enter the ompetitions, but I am working like stink at the moment to get The Cave and its environs ready for the summer influx (including one Ferret and his Beloved in July) starting with the Great Wolf and Great She-Wolf who arrive this very evening for a fortnight break.

    Not having previously entered the short story comps I wasn’t going to comment, it would indeed be a shame if we cancelled it outright, a fresh start in Sept sounds like a grand idea. Why was this months only 15 days when all the others (if my memory serves me correctly) were a month?

    I’m enjoying the poetry and have WIP.

    The photo comp will mostly attract an entry from me on the last day, I’ve already got one but am hoping something else may grab my attention while I’m driving around. I think that the photo comp lends itself to last minute entries.

    So, in summary perhaps the story one needs a break during the NH summer but I’d like to see the other two persevere.
