  1. I wonder if any of them would like to come and work with us for a day?

Is that a pig I just saw flying past the window?

  2. And hurrah for the nurses!! You have to be a certain type of person to be a nurse. You all look normal enough and seem absolutely fine, then one discovers that really, you’re looking forward to a really *interesting* injury to deal with….

At least, that’s what our practice nurses are like. I sympathised with one for being kept late one evening and she said “Oh it doesn’t matter. It was worth it. This guy has a REALLY DEEP wound.”

Aaaargh!! Rather her than me – and that goes for you Pseu and all the other nurses. ๐Ÿ™‚
I could never do your job but it’s brilliant and should be much appreciated that you’re all doing it.

  3. Good for nurses, I say. They do a wonderful job, at least most of them do, women and men.

I remember, with many fond youthful memories, the nurses home of the local hospital and the inhabitants thereof, especially as they were all female then. ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Nurses, bless you all and thank you! I have had cause to be in A&E many times, they certainly earn their wage!

Doctors would be lost without you!

  5. “As a matter of interest, who is your patron saint?”

Saint Vomita of the Blessed Bedpans

  6. Apparently: Agatha, Alexius, Camillus of Lellis, Catherine of Alexandria, Catherine of Siena, John of God, Margaret of Antioch, Raphael the Archangel

  7. But I like OMG’s suggestion!

Sadly not all nurses do a wonderful job. There are some who do not take their professionalism seriously enough. But thank you for your support. I shall wear it always.
