Into the Northern Bay at seven thirty Tuesday morning and a pleasant run of fifty miles in familiar waters
Our final landmark, Turkey Point Lighthouse

Then a few miles later our final turn into the creek.
Finally a new home for an old lady, she already looks like she belongs here.
When I sort out the records I may post a terminally boring summary of the trip. Right now I have to go and help with the laundry.

Glad you are safe home LW, look forward to seeing more pics and reading of your life before the mast, she is a looker!
Welcome back L Dubya,
That seems like quite the adventure you had there, I will look forward to reading all about it if you get that report written up.
Nice boat, is it fast enough to trail for sailfish and wahoo? Are those Adirondack chairs on the jetty?
Look forward to reading the full story if you get round to it 🙂
With apologies to A E Houseman
Thanks LW, a great travelogue. The boat looks happy…but still needs a name I see!
Cool, v*8y thrashing c**l, Ive enjoyed every minute, had fun researching where you were learnt a lot about the shaft, (or I forget now what you called it) a great trip well told , thanks
Soutie, that’s strong from you!
Thank you for the admonishment Pseu, I’ve adjusted the language but hopefully not the intent 🙂
🙂
Ferret: Sloow is the word, we averaged about 7.3 miles per hour over close to a thousand miles, that’s economical cruising speed, flank speed is up around 10 mph at a 50% fuel premium. They are Adirondack chairs and the first mate is occupying one, for the complete avoidance of doubt the “Old Lady” refers to the boat.
Soutie: Thanks it’s “The Ditch” the “Shaft” is something altogether different. 🙂
