  1. That’s incredible!
I abandoned listening to the match when there were 12 overs to go, to join Boadicea watching Miss Marple, confident that SA had it in the bag. The Bear was wrong again.

It wasn’t well done, England, it was, as FEEG says, worse done by SA.

If I were Indian or Pakistani, I would be crying “spot-fixing”! 😎

  2. Great game at Anfield. Hattrick for Kuyt, Carroll makes his début in 2nd half, Suarez is magic!

I gave up on England too but trust the lads spring a surprise!

  3. Howzit FEEG

I said here a month or so ago that I didn’t fancy our chances, I wasn’t at all surprised that we blew it.

Not sure if everyone here read mt entries to the clerihew compo last week, here’s one of them:-

    The Proteas
    World Cup ideas
Will depend on them doing their best
On laying the ‘chokers tag’ to rest

Doesn’t mean mean that I don’t want our boys to win, simply not expecting them to.

  4. Grr, a SA replaced by an Oirishman for the English cricket team. Sums it up nicely. I see Australia have replaced a champagne bowler for a crook batsman. That’ll be a natural swap then! CA strikes again.

Bearsy – I completely agree re match fixing…it stinks. Mind you – no offence to our SA friends – their cricket team are famous for being chokers!

India v Australia final – Australia to win due to a sudden batting collapse by India when it seems they cannot lose. You heard it here first!

  5. C426, I like a person (neuter, male or female) who leads with his chin! How many generations are required before you accept a player as ‘native’and therefore qualified to play for England or any other team? You could be in trouble with NZ, eh?

  6. Janus – I have been brewing a blog on that very subject. Stand by! 🙂
