Or, rather, whackos. I give you Haringey Council Social Services, (is anyone surprised that it is Social Services?) Department who have housed a family of ‘travellers’ in a £1.2 million house in Muswell Hill.
Why not take the children into care, give the ‘parents’ a caravan and tell them to sling their hook?
I read this, unbelievable!
I’ll bet these non-travellers are Irish – and there’s all these empty housing estates in Ireland they could go to and not disturb a soul.
Of course it would be Social Services – they can’t get anything right. If these tinks have destroyed the house and are being evicted for anti-social behaviour, it seems to me they have made themselves homeless and the council is under no obligation to rehouse them.
I thought Cameron was supposed to be cracking down on putting people into high-cost housing? Or is that just another of the ‘hot air’ promises?
I think you will find, Sheona, that the law was changed some time ago to allow Councils to evict people on grounds of ‘nuisance behaviour’ and removed the obligation of having to rehouse them. The problem, of course, is all those children…
Twelve children in Foster Care will probably cost around £6,000 a week… if not more.
