Pretty little face

The garden is starting to move. Spring is on its way. The hellebores have been flowering for a while now, hiding their faces in the borders.

And now there are also some crocus flowers at the bottom of the garden, near the snowdrops.

No time to lose. No, time to lose. Make time to stand and stare.... Did you see that?

  1. Nice pic’s. Nothing doing here in my part of Wales. The garden looks in a bad way, lots of frost damage and the dogs have killed off large areas of the lawn. It has been along hard winter, snow, frosts and then loads of rain. 😦

  2. From a handful of snowdrop bulbs chucked into the air, and planted where they fell, ten years ago, they have developed into all these little clumps of whiteness under the oaks – probably about time I split them up?

  3. toc, my grass is badly frosted and I haven’t yet started to trim off damaged sections of various shrubs… I’ll wait a while until the snow really won’t come back! However looking out for the small signs of spring does give me hope int he meantime

Yes, CWJ, I’d wait until the flowers have finished and the leaves have started to wilt, then lift and separate as they say. Replant in clusters of 3 or five, filling in some of your gaps and you’ll soon have a carpet of them under the trees.

  4. Good morning Pseu!

These are such beautiful pictures, they really shouldn’t all be hidden away! I hope you don’t mind, but I’ve taken the liberty of moving your “more” tag so that at least one brightens up the front page. 🙂
