“How to – with pictures”, originally posted for OZ and Tocino, can now be found as a submenu item under Images on the menu bar. I have also added a page about Resizing, which can be found in the same submenu.
As ‘er indoors said, “Any comments here, please”.
You know Bearsy, you make this place a family place. You are the good parent!
That’s good. Mrs J and I have a file of instruction manuals – wheich we read religiously, after the bloody thing has gone wrong…. 🙂
Thanks, you two. Excellent stuff! 🙂
Who’s a clever boy then, another job well done Bearsy, thank you.
Thank you Bearsy.
I’ve now installed Picasa 3 which lets me reduce my pixels (a worthwhile pastime for geriatrics allegedly). 😮
Morning, Bearsy.
I’ve just read your resizing instructions and it’s exactly what I would do when I used my very old Adobe Photoshop.
I am now using Photoshop Elements, a Christmas present.
Both give me the facility to “save for web” which is much easier and you just specify the pixel dimensions and save the file. I suspect it does a “smart size” or bilinear reduction for you, unless you think my photos look jaggy!
I do agree about “jaggy”, but I’m not sure this matters for viewing them here but is not a good thing for printing or reproducing in books or glossy magazines.
Absolutely! For printing the dpi is very important; but my notes refer only to use on The Chariot, so I haven’t covered that. 🙂
Excellent – many thanks.
