No time to lose. No, time to lose.
Make time to stand and stare.... Did you see that?

Drat, I have some splendid icicles hanging from my porch, but I can’t dash off and photograph them right now.
It shows how badly insulated it is, I fear.
Ok, here’s one I prepared earlier; last winter to be precise:
See that large one right of centre, Nym? Aaaarrgh!!
But I’m fine now, really. 🙂
Hmmm! Lets see what tomorrow morning brings? A few more icicles, a little more snow?
I had to re-clear the drive tonight after another couple of centimetres had fallen this afternoon.
Bilby, so glad you’re OK.
“Perfect murder weapons,” as Scout call them.
Just a silly response to the above, Nym; it didn’t actually happen, but I’m keeping a wary eye on the current crop.
We had to do the same, Nym.
I cleared the car, cleared the drive and still it keeps falling.
Oh well, I really do need to go to Henley tomorrow, but if I can’t, it will have to wait.
Above one of the courtyard doors to the house…they formed in tiers on the wisteria branches.
By the way what do I need to do to the hhtp blurb to make the photo itself appear in a comment (Bearsy is going to kill me – he must have told me more than once :-()
See my comment #17
The easiest way, CWJ, is to go to new post on the site and upload the photograph. Try to keep it small, pixel wise, and then copy the HTML version into a comment.
This is not a very technical explanation but you could experiment on your own posts here, and then delete them if they don’t work out.
I can’t remember the exact dimensions sadly but less than 500 width would probably be fine.
Bearsy, Boadicea or Soutie may care to give you more precise instructions.
PS. You could also try it on your own WordPress site.
My photograph is linked from mine, but this is just another way of doing it.
You can use to upload image from your PC, or a URL which could be your media store on your own site.
I get it now. The photo has to be on either your own site as a photo or on Bearsy’s and then the http: barefeet link will show it as a photo in the comment…correct?
Yes, pretty much.
You can upload it into a post on this site, by doing a draft post and then copy the HTML into a comment, or you can link it from a url from your own site or Flikkr.
You still need to do in a draft post and copy the HTML version, unless you know the HTML code.
Sorry, it is a bit late and I’m not explaining it very well.
Go to th Flickr page source, about 8 pages down is the URL
Then resize as required. (this is half size)
I only use the WordPress “New Post” page to insert pictures these days, no need to remember html codes anymore it acts as a html editor.
😉
Soutie – many thanks for that tip. Incidentally, your name always reminds me of H.M. Sultan Qaboos, whose nickname in the Cameronians (wildly politically incorrect these days), was “Sooty”!
There aren’t a whole lot of people who are still permitted to call him that to his face, any more…
Lovely photo. Techie’s camera has been found… so maybe tomorrow I can post one? !!

OK, you win, CWJ.
What an amazing photograph!
Oh, OK, CWJ. Can’t really compete. 🙂
Wonderful photo. Where was it taken?
