  1. If France seems quite Tom, it’s because most of the French shoppers here are in the queue at St Pancras, waiting to get back home, goodness knows where the end of the queue is 🙂

  2. Just so you know, you are not, in fact, cold and there is no reason whatsoever for all of this so-called cold-weather disruption.

“This will be the warmest winter in living memory, the data has already been recorded. For your information, we take the highest 15 readings between November and March and then produce an average. As November was a very seasonally warm month, then all the data will come from those readings.”

You couldn’t make it up. Oops, of course you could, and they do!

  3. Very seasonal, Tom, but this white stuff is seriously interfering with Christmas.

I haven’t left the house, except for short and very local trips on foot. I’m planning the great escape tomorrow. 🙂 The main roads are apparently not too bad, so I shall have a go.

  4. I wouldn’t know, rick. Hello Ara, I have to go out tomorrow for a medical appointment. Fortunately, local.

  5. I set out by car this morning…. and turned back! Then I set out on foot to discover our marvellous village shop stocks chestnut puree and string…. and chorizo: three things I didn’t get yesterday on my trip in my neighbour’s four wheel drive to the supermarket!

  6. Evenin’ all – Look on the bright side why don’t you. If it wasn’t for all those AGW-theorists, bunny-huggers and general freeloaders jetting from five star hotel to five star hotel as far apart as Bali, Copenhagen and Cancun telling evweryone else that they need to change their lifestyles, then the climate would obviously be far colder.

    Smiley thing.

  7. I went to the shops today in Ara’s fleecey, toggy thing, which probably saved my life. I didn’t sign up for this.
