Christmas Food Court Flash Mob, Hallelujah Chorus!

80 members of the Niagara Chorus made a surprise appearance in the Food Court of the Seaway Mall in Welland. This choir, which requires an audition to join, is made up of people from across
the Niagara region; there are several members from Niagara-on-the-Lake.

I thought you might like to see the video of their performance.

CWJ travelled extensively with his family, having worked in eleven countries over thirty years. A keen photographer, holding a Private Pilot's Licence, he focuses mainly on landscape and aerial imagery. Having worked in the Middle East extensively he follows developments in that region with particular interest, and views with growing concern, the radicalisation flowing from Islamic fundamentalism, and the intolerance for opposing views, stemming from it.

  1. Brilliant, what a great idea and so well done. If it was tried here the local plastic police and council would move in and stop it on ‘elf and safety grounds or for not having the correct licence.

  2. OMG You forget all the permits you would need to apply to your local council for on payment of various swingeing fees…
I was very amused at our rulers’ failure to realize the irony of proudly proclaiming that in order to hold street parties to celebrate the forthcoming wedding of William, they were reducing the number of applications required to be made to just one or two. WHY ARE ANY REQUIRED???
I suspect most councils in the larger English cities would be sending their underwear for drycleaning at the thought of what their religious minorities might make of belting out Handel’s sacred music in “public” areas. I would like to see it tried in Birmingham’s Bullring, for a start. Of course the vast bulk of those minorities would have no problem at all, but the P.C. Industry is designed to worry itself about vociferous minority objectors, not mainstream adherents, tolerant of others’ beliefs, as most of us are, if practised without infringing on others’ rights…

  3. Couple of pointers, CWJ –

    • Click on the video icon (second from the left on the top line), select “from a url”, paste the url, click OK.    Or, type [youtube=  followed by the url, followed by ].
    • Don’t enclose all your text within an ‘A’ tag.

Hope that helps. Alternatively, read the WordPress Support pages, they’re very good. ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Brilliant CWJ – I love these flash-mob musical events, talj about bringing music to the masses. Look how fascinated the children are ๐Ÿ™‚
