I wish them good luck and trust they both have the fortitude and gumption to stand up to the ever present and intrusive meeja.
It’s not that I ain’t ‘appy for ’em.
It’s just that to be fair, it is none of my or any other member of joe publics beeswax what they decide to do. Leave the poor beggars alone to get on with their lives instead of sticking the nosey beak in at every opportunity.
I can see how it is going to go down however, there will be no end of meeja intrusion, speculation and utter bollocks spread all over the tabloids, telly and 3dubya. The whole circus grips my brown stuff, truly it does.
Ferret & OMG: Agreed, but we are talking about the future (and with any luck the next) King, so there is no way they will be left alone. I just hope they cope better than his parents with all the garbage they are going to get.

Not my pens chum. Wills is not my property, it’s such a crying shame that nobody else realises this simple fact.
Even if he were next in line to the throne, a repeat of the Diana fiasco would be bad enough. Knowing todays weelie bin sifting scum however, I suspect the fallout is going to be significantly worse.
Honestly, this countries obsession with celebrity is a joke. Look at ‘I’m a triple z lister get my agent’ for crying out loud. Next to Linford and Havers the next most famous one on there is the girl who was a runner up on X Factor!
There isn’t anything happening in the world, nothing to report on, all must be well with the entire planet…….except of course, Will and Kate’s wedding announcement. I too send them my congratulations, it’s just a shame that it’s wiped everything else from the news, Sky have reported nothing else since the news got out, not a single thing, it’s all William and Kate.
I predict a Bank Holiday!! I think it’s actually a genuine relationship, which makes a change for the Royals.

I’m with Ferret. I bear them no ill will, but I’m really not interested. By the time William becomes King the monarchy will be even more of an irrelevance than it is now.
I wish them both every happiness and would be proud eventually to be a subject of King

I was looking forward to watching Coast on BBC 2 (Whitstable to the Isle of Wight). They cancelled that in favour of thirty minutes about the Firth of Forth to Arbroath which I’ve seen before and then guess what? William and Kate.
Are the BBC now a franchise of Hello Magazine?

Well I’m not a republican either. If there is one thing worse than a hereditary Monarch it’s a slimy politician.
BTW I’m proud never to have taken the Queen’s shilling. The only way you’d have got me into the military is at rifle point; I suppose the thing is that blind loyalty has never been my forte.
I hope she’s read the ‘job description’ thoroughly. The monarchy can do without another spoilt brat who only sees the ‘fame’ and not the work.

Strikes me that they are both quite down to earth from the extracts here of their interview.
