Which reminds me, time for a glass of feteasca neagra ‘Night Zen.
Night Zen! The best part of the Lit Fest today was relaxing with a couple of free tots of single malt Highland Park while listening to a book reading by Tim Butcher about devils in darkest Africa. Excellent.
ooh. I’ve gorn all Italic. Is it infectious?
Not any more 😉 S
Night night Mr Zen, sweet dreams. Ooh, I think it’s G&T time, cheers
And as the final verse goes:
“Mad Dogs and Englishmen, go out in the midday sun.
The smallest Malay rabbit deplores this stupid habit.
In Hong Kong, they strike a gong, and fire off a noonday gun.
To reprimand each inmate, who’s in late.
In the mangrove swamps where the python romps
there is peace from twelve till two.
Even caribous lie down and snooze, for there’s nothing else to do.
In Bengal, to move at all, is seldom if ever done,
But mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun.”
🙂
Nighty night, Zen. > Dorme bem

G’night, Zen.
Janus, the first record I bought – aged 8!
He’s one of the best ever lyricists, IMO.
Well he certainly has an expensive complexion.
