  3. I have seen this before, there are many similar that have been doing the rounds for a while, I had 4 emails to read the Quran, all different. As far as I can see, all are produced to stir up concerns, propaganda, trouble, someone with too much time on their hands, or whatever. Posting on Youtube is always the give-away for this type of thing. One part is particularly like politicians the world over, ‘What I said yesterday, cannot necessarily, or automatically be assumed, the information is the same today’. I have a Muslim friend, a dentist, she and her family are no different to you and me, she says, “Oh know, not more garbage Islamic emails and video clips”.
    She and her family are devote Muslims, but that doesn’t stop them enjoying other religions and peoples beliefs. In fact you’d invite them to any social occasion, they are damn good people and hilarious comedians too. We have attended the same Christian weddings here in England, they love it. Wait till I show her this one.

  8. Thanks. For some reason it perturbss me. Like you, I know several Muslims of whom I am fond, as well as many Hindus who pose no threat, either covertly or overtly.

  9. I am going to be dead, I hope, before Shariha law is implemented world wide, but the consequences of the spread of Islam are plain to see; at least they are, here in South Africa. A small, but increasing number of mainstream restaurants will only serve Halal food, thus making the Full English Breakfast a thing of the past. Rondebosch Golf Club, for example, has a growing Muslim membership and not only has it gone Halal, Muslims are trying to ban the sale of alcohol in the club house. While one might argue that those moves are hardly jihadistic, or whatever the correct term is, they are symptomatic of the intolerant position taken by Islam and the direction that its members want to force non Muslims to take.

    Do not be fooled. Islam is spreading. Islam is intolerant. Islam does call for itself to be adopted as the single worldwide faith and for the adoption of Shariha Law. Unless you are or have been a firm believer of any kind, you cannot appreciate the beliefs of others. Islam is not compatible with any other faith and its adherents will not rest until they have achieved their goals. That is the nature of the religion.

    Of course not all Muslims are evil and only practise the faith because it is their culture, just as in the 19th century most English people were Anglicans and went to church on Sundays. But rather than compare those two, it would be more appropriate to draw parallels between Islam of today and the Christian Church of the Middle Ages including the Spanish Inquisition. Those nice Muslim neighbours that we all know and whose company we enjoy, do want Islam to be adopted by all, though they may not be as aggressive about it as Osama and his crew.

The trouble is as always not Islam but RELIGION all religions are just there for power, is Islam and its rules any less worse than the Catholic religion demanding celibacy, no birth control and treating women as second class citizens. Or the cranky American ones that tell us we have been here for 6000 years only and refuse to accept evolution or the existence of fossils, dinosaurs etc.

    It is all about power and control, the Imams are having trouble with the young who wish to be the same as us, so they corrupt them and beat religion into them.

    I am a devout atheist and I practice it every day.

    Nothing will change my opinion that the only good one is a dead one!
    They are the ultimate threat to our way of life.

    Your friend, Val, is not a typical muslim. The typical muslim is poor, ill educated, and bigotted and chauvinist by religious indoctrination.

  14. Rick, you’ve put it in a nutshell, it’s all about power. We seem to forget how the English beat and killed all those who refused to convert to Christianity back in the dark ages, we ain’t no angels are we? I’ve just had a reply from my Muslim Dentist friend; after she laughed at my typing Muslin instead of Muslim- (“so, I’m a piece of cloth am I?”) she said. She said it was true and lies in equal measure, in other words just another bit of troublesome propaganda to be ignored.

  17. I wouldn’t mind so much about all this if the Islamic countries where to allow us to behave as we do here over there.

    They impose their laws on us in their country, but do not abide by our laws here.

    I wonder how a muslim would react here if he was caught stealing and had his hand cut off, no doubt he would scream human rights (or lefts if left handed) and then claim compensation.

  19. I agree with what you say Sipu.

    Here in the UK, for years we have welcomed immigrants of all persuasions and generally, they have integrated well. The trouble is, we are far too tolerant and are prepared to sell our heritage to anyone who has the money to buy it with little or no thought to the long term consequences. Try driving past the mosque at Regents Park aka The Islamic Cultural Centre during Ramadan. Totally impossible! I don’t think Christians would ever be able to block roads in say, Saudi Arabia like that?

    It is interesting Zen that although there are Muslims who are members of this site, there is no input from them. That of course is a great shame.
