Blustery day

Here it has become increasingly blustery as darkness falls and the forecast is for high winds, particularly along the south coast. The day has been sunshine, wind  and showers. The water butts are re-filled. Enough already.

What’s your weather like?

No time to lose. No, time to lose. Make time to stand and stare.... Did you see that?

  1. Very similar, Nym, but we are not that far away from you.

It is quite autumnal at the moment, and very blowy.

On the positive side, the lawn is looking greener! 🙂

  2. Hot and humid about 80F, still.
Watering like mad, just move the hoses and sprinklers around never actually bother to turn them off.

  3. Hissing down with rain here in South Wales. Basically, a normal summers day in what passes as God’s country here in Wales. Tom Jones got it right when he sang about “The Green, Green Grass of Home” It’s bloody green ’cause it’s always raining!

  4. Fine Jockish weather here, Pseu, which is, after all, as it should be when the Open is on just up the road at Sintandras. Chucking it down good style and blowing a gale tomorrow, one trusts.

A fine reminder to all those pampered golfers and skiving spectators that they were not put on this good Earth to enjoy themselves, in my opinion.

Just as well that a wee crisis at work meant that I can not join them tomorrow and had to give my ticket away. Not that I’m bitter, of course, but I hope they all drown or get blown away.

  5. The t-shirt used to read, “Just another sh*tty day in Paradise.” – low thirties centigrade, clear blue up above with the valleys and village co-operatives full of fresh, unprocessed food both animal and vegetable and friends coming for an ‘al fresco’ lunch and a swim on Sunday.

I’m sure all you remaining ‘Insel affen’ who did not feel the need to buy flowers for a psychopathic nutter who offed himself, or to pay taxes to fund those unwashed, ill-educated unemployables who did, will see sense abd get yourselves and your earnings out PDQ and leave the rock to the Island Apes (as the Hun still call us).

  6. Cold here but no rain 😦

Temperatures on Monday went down to 2.8°C overnight brrrrrrrrr. up to about 16°

We did get almost 2 inches of rain over our catchment area Sunday, gives us a bit of breathing space till our rainy season starts (usually Aug / Sept / Oct)

  7. O Zangado :

The t-shirt used to read, “Just another sh*tty day in Paradise.”

Ours say “Another tough day in Africa”
    😉

  8. Very warm, blue sky, light breeze, pretty damn good here in the Danish Riviera. 28 C forecast for later.

  9. One of those dazzlingly beautiful California days. Clear, warm (25°C) and air soft and clean.

  10. Good morning Pseu, sunny start to the day here, windy last night, windy this morning, no rain so far, but, anything could happen the next half hour.

  11. Its warm enough here when you are out of the wind, which I have to say is blowing to beat the band. I fully expect structural damage. The weather monkey is saying gale force.

  12. I’m about to get out the hedge trimmer, so it will rain here later on….I haven’t bothered washing my hair as I will look as though I’ve been pulled through it, not cutting it ehat ever I do in this wind.
