Belfast: The Natives are revolting – yet again…

Am I being unduly curmudgeonly this afternoon, or has anyone else reached the point where they wish that a cataclysmic earthquake would cause Northern Ireland and all its squabbling tribals, to simply slip into the Atlantic and disappear?

A keen photographer, holding a Private Pilot's Licence, he focuses mainly on landscape and aerial imagery. Having worked in the Middle East extensively he follows developments in that region with particular interest, and views with growing concern, the radicalisation flowing from Islamic fundamentalism, and the intolerance for opposing views, stemming from it.

  1. The British Army spent 30 years searching for the plughole to enable the whole bloody island to sink. Sad to say, they never found it.

  2. 34 years ago to this day I was organising the security arrangements for North Belfast for the marching season. It was a nightmare. Today it is obvious that nothing has changed in the attitudes of the different religious persuasions despite all our efforts. With my hand on my heart I can say:’ The natives are revolting!’

  3. I am afraid the Irish (northern) the Israeli’s the Palestinians and no doubt more never ever want peace.

It is all about money and power by the elite bosses. Look at that awful Adams and McGuiness both crooks paid for by us tax payers. They should have been hung long ago. Yet all they do is scream about bloody Sunday, (yes it was wrong) and demand the soldiers are punished, yet they walk around laughing at all of us.

  4. Toc – The blogger who royally p*ssed off The Bear and got hinself rusticated will not be happy with you. 🙂

  5. Tom – I think you have it analysed perfectly…whoever imagined a sitation could ever be resolved where intransigence rules supreme, where, on the one hand we have a bunch of murdering thugs sheltering behind a frontal wave of young children, and on the other, a crowd of King Billy fans, strutting around in orange sashes, swearing undying allegiance to the Crown, in their efforts to wind up the Catholic minority in their midst. If it was confined to their own little patch, it would be bad enough, but this nonsense has been exported to Irish enclaves on the mainland, where it causes continuing social strife and mayhem.

  6. I always thought we should have had a practise with a couple of small neutron bombs.
No one seemed to agree with me at the time but it would have been a damned sight easier on both the soul and the pocket book for the rest of us had we had such ‘an accident’ in the 70s.

You can imagine the Chinese putting up with this shit can’t you? Look what they did to the Uighurs when they were revolting, just shot enough of them till they calmed down and no enquiry afterwards. Splendid pragmatism.

  7. As usual the thug leaders of the political IRA in NI are tut-tutting about the violence. Guess who riots agianst Orange parades.
