Good morning Mr Zen, gosh you are up early this fine morn. Me too as it happens, I woke at 4am, “What the hell is that noise ?” I wondered sleepily.
The TV was still on, fan blowing in my face, and the curtains billowing everywhere from the open windows. I certainly wasn’t in any mood to watch those tele adverts that appear when a TV station closes down and you drop off to sleep, so I threw the TV out of the open window and turned the fan off, my cheeks were very cool and fresh, very soddin fresh indeed actually 🙂 🙂
Good Mornin’ Mr Zen,
S’good but there is of course a Tull for that…
Stormy Monday Blues……. Nice!
Almost as miserable, I like it!
Try this one!
Music to get right miserable to and no mistake chum.
Well if its crazy blues you want try this Tull its up there with their very best.
Just now and then it’s ‘positively therapeutic’ to have a good wallow. As long as it doesn’t become a habit! Crossword took 34 mins this morning – good for me!
I don’t do the cryptic half as much as I used to, I think I will have a look today. 🙂
34 mins is a good time chum well done.
Fairly simple one, today, thanks.
34 mins Zen?? Good lad.
This fits, today!
Hey. I have that Tom/Jools album! Classic stuff. Jools at his best and good old Tom. A real belter.
So far, so good, but, if anyone puts up Tommy Steele ‘Singing the blues’ I may just have to………………. 🙂 🙂
A great album, indeed, Jan, I play it a lot. Val, fear not!
I liked Tommy Steele doing “Little White Bull.”
I first heard it when I was very young. For years afterwards I thought bull-fighting must be quite a fun thing to do. Could never make out how there was no Bull-fighting Cindy or Barbie.
Course, Tommy failed to mention how the fluffy little white bull would end up being gored to death by men on horseback.
I play Leonard Cohen when I feel really down and want to slit my wrists. Then after listening to him I realise life can’t be that bad so I carry on.
I go with Ferret and Tull, great band and still playing.
Rick, it is heartening in a crisis! But not too often!
Zen,
The bleedin thin nearly took me an hour!
The western states and the scandalous 14 Dn, 27 Acc Everything else was easy but those two had me stumped for ages. Grrrr.
Furry one, were we doing the same puzzle – does not compute.
I will do the crossword tonight sitting in the garden with a glass of red or white wine, or anything alcoholic come to that. probably meths or melted down boot polish.
I do the crossword online these days chum, checking I see I have done Thu 29 Jan 09. DOH!
How the blazes did that happen?
I will download todays and try that instead, I’ll let you know how I get on. 🙂
See you later!
Saw LC in Canberra, but it was rather pathetic, couldn’t hear a thing; luckily I knew all the words. 🙂 Still love him though.
16th July 2008 for me, sitting high on Embra Castle Esplanade.
Heard every word. Totally memorable evening. First encore was my personal favourite
Bugrit – forgot to Copy
Now that would have been amazing, John. Lucky you. One of my favourites too.
That is one beautiful setting for a concert, John.
