And Indoles had a dream and in that dream he saw a vision
The Kaiser standing with a big smile, a paper bag in his hand
and he stood pretty in his white shinning armor
and in the bag,the cup of life made of gold
and inside the cup, I saw the world
and then I saw a mist, as if the world in tears
and from the mist came out a horse
and the horse had twenty and two feet
and each foot had studs
and sitting on the horse a rider looking like a cloudy day
and the sun sat on his head and a field of violets below him
and voices and trumpets could be heard
saying “gaucho, gaucho”
and the horse and rider swooped past the knight
and snatched the paper bag from his hand
and took out the cup and looked at the world and said
“Three to One”, “Three to One”
and crowds cheered and waved and cried
and laughter could be heard
and all the world was smiling
and paid honor to “La Celeste”
🙂
Nice pome btw. Is it an entry for the creative writing competition? OR is it one of Toc’s Tics? (Sorry, know I’m repeating myself but couldn’t resist…)
I don’t know if it meets the requirements but yes, I’d love to enter it. 🙂
I wrote a few today, might post some more later
Are they all about football IS?
No, they’re different 🙂
Ferret, how did you know this was about football? What gave it away? 🙂
um, I’m probably being a bit thick here, but what is La Celeste? Is it something to do with Verdi..? IF so, it does qualify
I disqualified myself then, Claire.
“La Celeste” is the nickname for the Uruguayan World Cup Team
It means “Light Blue” 🙂
oh I seee. I am none too hot on all matters football…
Just tweak it and enter it anyway.
How can I tweak a vision? 🙂
No, it’s alright, I’ll enter another one soon.
you make it sound like kubla khan!
Yikes, this is the second pome about football that I have seen recently.
It is not a trend to be encouraged, in my opinion. 😉
Too many ands spoil the pome…. 😦
Nice poem, Indo. Very nice indeed.
