Don’t know about that Minty. The French manager made a big deal about not shaking hands with the SA Manager. Typical Frog! They only made it through to the WC by cheating. 🙂
Sounds like sour grapes to me, Toc.
The French seem to have excelled themselves from what little I have read; hysteria and tantrums all round. Frightfully unsporting really.
A shame the hosts are going out – but at leat they leave on a high and they sent the French home as a bonus.

I would have liked to believe that Bravo, but the cheese eating surrender monkeys’ bags were packed and on the coach waiting for the final whistle. 🙂
A fitting end to their hopes after Henris little faux pas.
Hello Claire.
Not being in the slightest bit interested in football, I haven’t really been following much of this.
The French Fiasco hit the news this morning on Radio Four, so even I decided it must be pretty bad!
Hi Ara; me neither; I’m pretty clueless on it all. I heard something about French team walking out but that’s all. What happened then? I should look it up online I suppose…
Hissy fits and accusations that they have let down their country.
Rather dreadful, but I suppose these things happen.
I will have you know that the British have a great advantage over the Germans when it comes to France — you have a channel protecting yourself from them, we have them right at our doorstep.
Here you go folks, French sportsmanship at it’s very best.

He’s probably after the Arsenal job – it’s what Frog managers do!
Great post Bravo, thanks for the thoughts, thanks for the clip Toc I missed it live but was told by a mate in our group.
What a day, what a party, what atmosphere.
I spent the day at my mate’s sports bar, along with 3 Slovenians, 4 Swiss, a couple of Englishman, a Scot from Hamilton and about 200 South Africans (that was just my table! 🙂 )
Every single man and his dog were Bafana supporters yesterday. I swapped my Bafana shirt after the match with one of the Slovenians (I’m wearing my new Slovenia shirt now!) and gave my S.A. cap to one of the Swiss.
A great victory, not enough I know but the country is happy, beating France is a great achievement, Bafana haven’t let us down, they went out with a bang, good for them.
South Africa who? 😦
Oh, You guys must mean the team that lost 3-0 to Uruguay 🙂
The Aussies are still in with a chance, a slim one, but better than South Africa 🙂
Whoopee! Two up!
Well done South Africa!!
Did the French burst into tears again?
