South Africa will have to notch up a must-win clash against France or they might become the first host team to exit in the group stage in World Cup history.
Must feel good to make history 🙂
All bloggers please join me in supporting Soutie in these dark days for South African soccer 😦
Fnr Fnr 🙂
Uruguay – 3 South Africa – 0
Hey, Indo, Maybe you can help because Bearsy seems to be incommunicado. I was trying to put a link in to the bookshelf I’ve made with Ferret’s books, and although there is an embed code on the the publishing site it doesn’t seem to be working when I try to embed it on this site.
Jaime – Copy only the link from the top of the address bar and paste it here, see if that works, otherwise at least I will see it, will be able to go to it and find out the problem.
PS – Did you know South Africa lost 3-0 to Uruguay? 🙂 Fnr Fnr
Soutie – It don’t really matter, as long as the spirit is there, South Africa is still a winner, very few countries get to Host the World Cup and you guys did it. That in itself is a victory. 🙂
Close, Indo. There’s a list of folders to the left; Bearsy’s Bookshelf is the one to embed. And the other question is: Do we have to re-embed every time we add a book?
On the original page that you got at mylibrary, there is a list of items on the lefthand side. In the Folders there are 3 folders, you want the one called Bearsy’s Bookshelf. The one that you have the first link to (#9 above) is the folder All.
Jaime – If you could give me the name or title that you used for Bearsy’s bookshelf, I can make the link work now, but I can’t find it without the info, there’s too many of them 🙂
Got you, give me a minute
Just trying
Jaime is the link above the one you were after? 🙂
No. I’m trying to get the link to the bookshelf that has two books on it. The link that you had in #9 was almost right. If you go there you should be able to see the folders on the left. I think. I’ll try it again to see if that’s true.
Ok – I logged out of your site for now, I’ll be back in 10 minutes, if you haven’t worked it out by then, let me know
PS – MAke it a “Stand alone” code 🙂
Yes if you click on the link in #9 it takes you to the bookshelves, then click on Bearsy’s Bookshelf to the left and the page that comes up is the one I want.
Quite right Indy, history has already been made, the infrastructure, the nation building and of course the opportunities of the rest of the world to come and visit this wonderful part of Africa, the legacy of this World Cup will last for generations.
I’m lovin’ it 😉
OK, I don’t know what a stand alone code is. What I did do is delete all the books that were on that shelf so that all that remains are Ferret’s books. So now the link at #9 works even though it’s All Bookmards and not just Bearsy’s Bookshelf.
Was I interfering with what you were doing?
Soutie – That’s right, now you have the infrastructure for all sorts of things, cricket, rugby, soccer, musical concerts, on and on, it will create untold number of jobs, and will pour money into your coffers for next 100 years or so.
Uruguay, the first country to host the cup is still making money out of one single stadium, not bad 🙂
Jaime – no interference at all, did you get it done or do you still want me to make a link for you? 🙂
Well, wondering if you could post that link in a separate blog? (#9) I don’t know how you managed the link.
I don’t know either, things just happen for me 🙂 I’ll log into your site and do it for you now 🙂
Give me a few minutes, going there now.
IS, don’t count on the cheating frogs to be of any help. If Thierry’s old bones don’t give up, he’ll have a hand in some skullduggery.
It appears the link only works for members of the site. I join the site now and keep trying 🙂
Oh that is annoying. I seem to remember being able to enter another publisher’s bookshelf without being a member.
But maybe they have changed their rules since then.
Maybe I should just post the login info. Which I already have, but which I was going to ask you to delete from your blog, please.
Jaime, most likely my fault as I don’t know how to use the site too well, I’ve never seen it before. But I did join up and now that I am a member the link works and it shows the entire folder.
Would you like to copy the link and post it on a new blog or should I just post a new blog for you?
PS – I logged out of your site, you might wish to change your password now as it is posted here for all to see 🙂 Not that it matters, I’ll delete this blog soon, make sure nobody sees it anyway 🙂
I see we are cross thredding 🙂
I just deleted your account details, first time I delete a comment on this site so I hope it works.
It’s not such a bad idea for people to join the site in order to see its contents, keeps the stray cats away 🙂
So that’s what you think we should do: Tell people to join the site if they want to see the entire shelf? There hasn’t been a problem accessing individual books, so maybe it’s not necessary to see the whole bookshelf. I just thought it was kind of cool to be able to see all the books posted there. Thanks by the way for your sterling help. I’m feeling rather guilty about dragging you away from your soccer celebration to chase a cyber problem. Apologies.
Have you two finished now? Your uggh guy, jaime, must be allowed to wallow in temporary glory here. He doesn’t often get the chance and this time it’s a nine-day wonder. 😮
No apologies necessary Jaime, always enjoy helping people 🙂
So it appears that one can see individual books without signing up but one needs to be a member to see whole folders, not a bad site, obviously set up that way to influence people to sign up, one can’t blame them for that.
I’ll copy and paste the links to your last blog so that you can keep it for the future (just in case my blogs get deleted 🙂 glad to be helpful
Janus – Let’s face it, do I detect a touch of jealousy that Denmark didn’t get in and Britain is as good as ……. well ….. nobody 🙂
