Now we’ll see some real action.

Class actions in the offing?

A cross examination of global warming science conducted by the University of Pennsylvania’s Institute for Law and Economics has concluded that virtually every claim advanced by global warming proponents fail to stand up to scrutiny.

…found that the climate establishment does not follow the scientific method. Instead, it “seems overall to comprise an effort to marshal evidence in favor of a predetermined policy preference.”

Jason Scott Johnston, Professor and Director of the Program on Law, Environment and Economy at the University of Pennsylvania Law School

on virtually every major issue in climate change science, the [reports of the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change] and other summarizing work by leading climate establishment scientists have adopted various rhetorical strategies that seem to systematically conceal or minimize what appear to be fundamental scientific uncertainties or even disagreements.

Now that US tort lawyers have been shown the way, watch for a deluge of class action suits against the AGW deceivers.

  1. I’m glad that someone in the continental US has finally come out in such a definitive way, the US has been sitting on the fence far too long on the subject!
It is also about time that someone pulled the rug from under the feet of the IPCC and that odious little Indian creep lining his pockets at everyone else’s expense.
I wonder what the next frightener will be to exact more taxes from the rest of us?
I note the cessation of the bin wars by ‘our Dave’ has a few Councils up in arms, they obviously thought they were on a nice little earner with ‘pay as you throw’. Hit all the right buttons!

  2. Indeed, Christina. Funny how Pachauri and Gore are busy lining their pockets with the proceeds of the policies they advocate. Or, perhaps, not funny at all.

  3. Janus, sigh, CO2 is not a pollutant, it is an airborn fertiliser, it is also what keeps you breathing – and before you say “what about ‘too much,’ “check the concentration that is toxic…

  4. What they ought to be doing something about is real pollution, heavy metals etc, oestrogen in drinking water etc.
But they don’t want to know!
    Why?
Costs real money! Paid for directly by the producers can hardly stick it on the rates can they?

  5. Janus :

So are we not worried about air pollution any more?

We are worried about more than ‘air pollution’ – the whole planet is being polluted, by far too many people. Denying AGW does not mean that no one thinks that the real problems of air-pollution in big cities, poisoning the water and all the other environmental issues should be ignored.

As Christina says, I wonder what the next ‘big scare’ will be to get money from the tax-payers of the world. It’s a shame that solving the real problems listed above will have to be met from the pockets of ‘Big Business’ because they have no intention of footing their bill and, thus, those issues will never be tackled.
