Well, I am sorry to say that my last prediction came true, the Top-Kill procedure designed to stop the gusher of oil under the gulf of Mexico has failed, Of course anybody could have known that, the pressure of oil coming up is so great we simply don’t have the technology to counter it.
Now they have a new idea; they are going to drop a “cup” over the entire lot so that then they can continue to pump oil out to the surface. A more stupid idea has never been thought of, the cup will collect not only the oil but also the gases and send them straight to the surface where they will have to ignite a flare. Without a working Blow Out Preventer (valve) what do you think will happen next?
A flash back and a much bigger explosion than the one they had before.

What they intend to do now is to shear the broken pipe and place the cup over the top but if they can do this then they could also fit another BOP on top of the broken one and seal the well, yet they are not going to try this.
They also say that it will take 60 days to drill a relief well to stem the oil flow but I can tell you now, this plan will not work either, the oil pressure is to great. 😦
Conclusion …
BP never intended to cap the well at all, they have always had the same direction, that of continuing to pump the oil out. This is neither a disaster nor a catastrophe. It is stupidity and criminality in its grandest scale.
By the way. Did you know the name of the Oil Well?

It will take 7 years for the oil deposit below the Deepwater Horizon well to empty if left alone

Drilling of the first relief well continues and is currently at 12,090 feet. Drilling of the second relief well is temporarily suspended and is expected to recommence shortly from 8,576 feet.
NONE OF THIS WILL WORK .
IT IS JUST A SHOW OF PUBLICITY DRAGGING TIME ALONG BECAUSE ANY PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER IN THE DRILLING INDUSTRY KNOWS THAT THE ONLY ANSWER FOR THIS MESS IS THE RELIEF WELLS.
KEEP IN MIND, BP KNOWS GENERAL AREA’S WHERE DRILLING RELIEF WELLS MAY WORK,
BUT IS NOT SURE WITH ANY DEGREE OF CERTAINTY, THAT THEY ARE DRILLING THE RELIEF WELLS IN THE CORRECT LOCATION TO STRIKE THE SAME VEIN AS THE GUSHING WELL.
THE RELIEF WELLS WILL DO EITHER OF THE FOUR BELOW:
1.) STRIKE THE CORRECT VEIN TO REDUCE AMOUNT OF FLOW AT THE GUSHING WELL.
2.) STRIKE THE WRONG VEIN WHICH WILL NOT REDUCE FLOW OF THE GUSHING WELL.
3.) NOT STRIKE ANY VEIN AT ALL.
4.) STRIKE METHANE..
Oil is a curse as well as blessing to society.
But this now is a dreadful disaster to marine life.
There must be a way to stop it.
I am more scared about this oil find in the Falklands….does this mean that we won’t be allowed to eat corned beef again and all hell is about to break loose down there??
This is a dire situation and Rick, I really don’t think that there is going to be a good outcome for the marine life, it is us humans playing with the balance of our planet again, all so we can drive and heat our homes (mind you, what would we do without it?)
