The Genie

Three men are hopelessly lost in the desert of Saudi Arabia
An Australian, An Arab and a Jew
Suddenly they find a magic lamp in the sand
They begin rubbing it and a Genie appears

-”Three wishes each, then I shall lose my powers and return to the lamp” –

said the Genie

The Jew inmediately jumped forward and said ….

– “Make Jerusalem, the holy city, which is surrounded by Arabs, the most powerful nation on Earth so that none of her enemies can defeat her in war” –
– “Send me home to Jerusalem”
– “Make me the richest of all the Jews” –

And the Genie who had God-like powers gave Jerusalem mighty weapons of war which no man could gain victory over, bombs and planes and tanks and ships and trained its armies so that they could never be defeated and all her enemies hid in fear.

Then the Genie waved his hand and the Jew vanished and suddenly found himself in Jerusalem surrounded by a mountain of gold.

He was indeed the richest man in Jerusalem.
And the Jew reigned supreme in the holy city.

The Arab who was very religious said next ….

– “Make an impregnable wall around all the Arab lands with Jerusalem, the holy city in the center and place it on it giant doors that lock it tight so that no unholy things may enter into the land of Allah”
– “Send me home to the Arab lands”
–”Make me the richest man in the world”

And the Genie made a wall around the lands of Allah, he made it of the strongest metal and it reached higher than the clouds, Then he placed giant doors and locked them tight, No man could climb it and no bird could fly over it, rivers changed course and flowed around it as did the wind, nothing could enter it, not even the smallest microbe.

Then the Genie waved his hand and the Arab man vanished and suddenly found himself in the middle of the lands of Allah with Jerusalem in the middle and surrounded by a mountain of gold.

He was indeed the richest man in the Arab world.
And the Arab man reigned supreme in the lands of Allah.

And the Australian man politely asked …..

– “Excuse me, Genie? , is it true that the wall you built around the lands of Allah is higher than the clouds, made of the strongest metal and with giant doors that are locked tight and even the wind and the rivers cannot enter?

.. Is it really?

And the Genie was very angry at having his magic questioned so he answered with angry fashion ……

– “Yes, you dumb Aussie, of course it is, I built it! nothing may penetrate it! it is indestructible, impervious and immutable,

Nothing can get in or out of it and nothing may destroy it”

“Now give me your three wishes and stop wasting my time” –

– “Oh well, in that case” –  said the Aussie …

– “I want health for all mankind”
– “I want happiness for all mankind”

And the Genie made all mankind healthy and no child suffered and every man had a job and the women lived happily in their gardens having tea with their friends or whatever women do.

– “It’s done, what is your third wish? – said the Genie

But the Aussie rebuked him …..

“Hang about, mate, I’m not happy, I’m not healthy, in fact I’m real sad cause I’m dying in the desert; I said all of mankind, that includes me”

And the Genie realising he had been fooled sent the Aussie home and made him healthy and gave him a can of beer but could not count it as a third wish so he queried the Aussie …..

– ” NOW, TELL ME! What is your third wish?

“Oh yeah, I forgot..” , said the Aussie, and he continued sheepishly….

“You know that really high wall you built? … the one that no man may climb and no wind or water can get in or out? …The one that encircles the holy city of Jerusalem and the holy lands of Allah? … ” — and his voice faded off..

– “Is it really indestructible, impervious and immutable, Nothing can get in or out of it and nothing may destroy it?”

And the Genie was angry at having his magic questioned so he answered with angry fashion ……

– “Yes, I know the F***** wall, it really is indestructible, impervious and immutable, Nothing can get in or out of it and nothing may destroy it?”

– ” NOW, TELL ME!…  WHAT IS YOUR THIRD F*****  WISH?” –

screamed the angry Genie.

and the Aussie replied ….

– “Fill it up with holy water”
