Truth will ultimately prevail where there is pains taken to bring it to light.

(Quote by George Washington.) It seems that even in the la-la land of AGW the hype is finally being laid to rest as Lord Monckton slays ’em at the Oxford Union.

Climate alarmism in Britain: “…the poll figures are going through the floor.

That, of course, doesn’t faze the serial scammers:

Tony Blair hired by US billionaire Vinod Khosla for climate change advice.

  1. Well, that’s interesting. Mouseover the ‘floor’ link and it shows a preview of some Japanese cartoon site. Click the link, however, and it takes you to the correct site. ???

  2. I think that winning a motion in such an august chamber may be significant; and they do host some interesting debates; but it is not altogether necessarily an indication of feeling throughout the UK.

I mean, this one was a bit dodgy perhaps:

“Oxford Union Debates the Proposition: ‘This House regrets the founding of The United States of America.”

The motion was defeated I believe:

“We are happy to report to you that the Oxford Union, in its infinite wisdom, has allowed America to continue to exist. Representing America in this life-and-death debate was Jonah Goldberg of the National Review”

  3. There was an article I read earlier, which I cannot find, which indicated that support for AGW has fallen dramatically in the UK.

Frankly the fact that Blair has joined the fight, has made this into a lost cause.
