  1. Talking to some Afghans a few years ago, they related to me how they laughed at a broadcast where a Taliban leader was interviewed, as the fellow had a broad Pakistani accent.
In their opinion a lot of Taliban leaders were of Pakistani origin and the war in Afghanistan was nothing but a foreign invasion dressed up to look like a civil war.
But then it was their homeland, something I new nothing about.
Nice to know that Pakistan has changed its tune after receiving massive foreign aid and military support.

  2. Bravo who are you saluting?

the idiot that wrote this, the taliban or the Pakistan military, sorry mate it’s just not clear to me.

  3. I wasn’t aware that the Pakistanis did funny walks, your link wasn’t very clear.

I have no problem whatsoever saluting the effort that the Pakistan military are putting in to defend their homeland, power to their elbow.

  4. What’s all this about TVs and funny walks?
I see neither in Bravo’s link.

Have you all taken leave of your senses?

  5. Thanks LW, much appreciated.
You have to remember that I’m “a pathetic old man, passed [sic] his sell by date” [Sipu 12th April], so I don’t understand these things.

  6. PS. The link. For some reason, which I have since discovered, the link looked as it does now, but pointed to the Sony page I had used earlier, and to an image of a particular TV set. Made the comments thread a bit surreal.
