Dear Fellow Bloggers,
When you use photos, could you please please use the more tag? When there are too many photos on the front page it’s taking toooo long to load or refresh.
Thank you.

G’day Bearsy
I’ve been sticking more tags in anyway, if the authors aren’t keen on it they can always edit out.
Does the size also effect you? Tocino’s ‘woof-woof’ could comfortable have been postcard size without the loss of any impact.
Do the slideshows slow you down? Does it make a difference if there is more than one slideshow on the home page?
G’day Soutie –
Yes, fine about ‘more’ tags. I’m quite happy with a couple of long paragraphs or one big picture. Don’t fancy posts being clipped too short on the home page.
Size doesn’t affect my page loading at all. I like full-width piccies, don’t like the little postage-stamp ones, unless they’re only incidental to the story.
Slideshows don’t slow things down for me, irrespective of numbers, but there are still occasions on which one or more don’t load correctly and require an F5. I have complained, nicely, to WordPress, but apart from an acknowledgement, I have heard nothing further, so I suppose most people have no problem with them. They’re certainly great once loaded.
Most people have broadband of a sort. While I have some sympathy for Levent’s problems, the best solution is for him to get broadband, too.
Incidentally, perhaps the pictorial links will encourage people to use Categories, rather than tags (the other sort of tags). 😕
I haven’t noticed any problems loading, although my broadband speed is not wonderful.
