Update:
The “Swimathon” swimming training for Marie Curie Nursing is coming along.
I have been doing 50 lengths at a time for training sessions. My husband lent me his wrist stop watch but that was hopeless as without my glasses I couldn’t see the figures, but I’m doing 50 lengths in about 26-7 minutes at the moment. It’s only a couple of weeks to go now.
In the meantime am a list person. And it gives me great pleasure to write a list at the start of a month /week / day and tick each task off boldly, in a different coloured pen as I go. So how is the current list going?
The really big one, other than the swim training: the pressure on top of my head, THE ESSAY – is done. Hurrah! It is written, printed off and waiting in an envelope (I can’t hand it in yet as the ‘box’ doesn’t open until 10th April)
What else? The garden. Well the garden has had very little attention. Next on the list. That and the Spring Clean, booking a holiday and the diet. Not much then.
OK, I know I should have put the link in with words rather than the web address, but I failed. Oh, no I didn’t, I succeeded!
Tee hee! – Ed.
It must be that sort of time of the year, Nym. I have a list of projects.
Off topic completely: I just tried to log in to The Other Place and my account has been deleted:

Yikes!!!!!
What did you do Minty?
Or more acurately, what do the Arkansas rednecks think you did?
I really don’t know, Furry. I haven’t been there much recently, and have received no communication from anyone at Blog Central, so I’m rather in the dark!
Well it can’t be the wordpress ad in your subtitle.
I have had mine since day one and have invited many MyT’ers to come and have a look.
Didn’t you have two different MyT IDs? Maybe at last they are cracking down on double entry blog keeping.
Ew eer Ara,
(I was still there this morning when I had a look around and commented on Louise’s blog.)
Thank you Big Bear.
Well done Pseu!
Top of my ‘List of Things to Do’ is Write a List… 🙂
This could be a reason, Furry, but so do others. Ethel is still there 😉
I have sent a quick email to Kate Day and the mods, so I will let you know if they respond. I have a busy day today, so I’ll catch you all later.
Oops Sorry Nym,
Got dragged off topic there by Mintys news.
Good for you on the swimming front, but there is a reason why god gave us jet skis you know. 😉
I too am a bit of a list person. I spend so long planning though I usually end up with not enough time to execute it. 🙂
Yes, apologies, Nym for the diversion.
No wurries.
Good blog Pseu. You put me to shame! I have to get in training for the annual shame ritual of the teachers’ race on school sports day. Everyone gets really competitive about it!
And lists; I always lose them and get stressed. Top of mine has got to be coursework marking this week. No the laundry. See what I mean?
No, Ara, no way! Comment ca?!! (;
I could spend a lot of time writing lists but I only ever get a third of the way down any given list so I should really stop at a third.
Good luck with the swimming, Pseu! Got arms like Sharon Davies yet? She propositioned my hairdresser once but he politely declined on the grounds that her shoulders were wider than his. 🙂
Hmm. Sore point. It was ‘muscle’ wot made me give up swimming in my teens. With breast stoke the muscle that develops does make my shirts a little tight… across the back
Shame you felt you had to stop. But the skills are coming in handy. I bet you can do the tumble-turns and everything! I used to try but end up surfacing, gasping desperately in an “of course I’m not panicking” type way. 🙂 Always wished I’d learned to dive properly though.
No, tumble turns not my forte…. but my breast stroke speed is decent and I do proper breathing! (none of that head up, mustn’t get the hair wet style) 🙂
Probably last training swim last night. I did 60 lengths, un-timed, but pushing hard, so I could tell this morning when I got up that I had exercised last night.
I find I get into my stride at about 40 lengths. (Last night it was 38) – and once I have passed this I’m less worried!
The ‘Swimathon’ is on Saturday, between 4-8 pm.
TODAY’S THE DAY……
You go, girl!
Good luck!! 😆
🙂
One glass too many last night. Just a tad dry this morning. But I have until 4pm to refresh!
Yes, good luck, Nym and I bet you’ll do just fine! You’ve put in a lot of hard work.
