  1. Yes I had been playing at putting a link to my own blog page in the body of the post, but it kept going wrong!

  2. I hate to point this out but – shock/horror – that’s the wrong sort of bulb, Pseu! Modern lightbulb moments are achieved only with really ugly twirly eco-bulbs that start dim and take a long time to off-bright. I hate em.

  3. Jan – I too hate those twirly squiggle light bulbs. We now have conventional shaped ‘modern’ light bulbs (called globes here) in what is called ‘soft lighting’. One really can’t tell the difference between them and the old-style globes.

  4. I don’t have even a single eco-bulb in my house, because I hate them. Perhaps I need to re-visit the idea in light, aha, of Boadicea’s comment! 🙂

  5. Janh1:

    Its OK.
The enviro-fascsists have not yet got round to banning plain incandescent bulbs, just the pearl ones! (Because they look nicer and give a more pleasing light, of course!)

  6. And, don’t forget, if you break a whacko-, sorry, eco-bulb you have to get into your NBC gear and call the emergency services because of the mercury vapour…

  7. On inventions. A cornflake inner packet that doesn’t make you pur so much effort into opening it that it sprays the cornflakes all over the kitchen when it finally tears exposively open.

  8. Can I propose a dis – invention? Child-proof bottles should be banned. They are also Boadicea-proof…
