bravo
Great pictures, very evocative, real ‘misty moisty’ morning. Remind me to post a shot of the Grand Union Canel which can be viewed from my office window.
Ah, the Grand Union. Never seen it, but remember it from history lessons, lo, these many years ago. Look forward to the pics.
What sensational images Bravo, you’ve captured the feel beautifully, I love them.
thanks, Val. I had to do a little bit of fiddling with filters to bring out that layer of mist hanging quite still above the river and the flood plain.
What happened to the other half of the Golden Arches?
It looks so horribly cold!
Ha Ha, not too bad this morning, a mere -10 C 🙂
Jeez, I’m glad I don’t live there. Not surprised they are all pissed permanently, need the vodka as antifreeze!
Big to-do in the local press at the moment. The Govt is putting up the tax on Vodka so that the price of the standard stuff – quite drinkable – will go up to 89 Roubles a half liter. – 2 Euros and a couple of cents.
Very very good Bravo!
Never seen Moscow other then pics of the Kremlin, thanks.
What’s the name of the river?
Soutie, erm Moscow :-):-)
I’ll stick up some more pics at the weekend.
Thank you, I had no idea, Russian Geography wasn’t something that we covered in high school over here!
“Moskva and Moscow are two different renderings of the same Russian word Москва. The city is named after the river.”
I see that it is a tributary of the Oka, which in turn is a tributary of the Volga.
(sorry to seem stupid, but I’ve never been afraid to ask1 🙂 )
Soutie – no questionis stupid – except the one you don’t ask 🙂
I paddled in the Volga a couple of months ago. it was bloody feezing!
Phantastic fotos
Very atmospheric photos but it just reminded me of.. but don’t whine; it was just an association of ideas 🙂
Ok, bother. Now could someone technical explain why this turned out to be a link instead of a video clip. Ok, I expect Bravo is relieved but I would like to know why it went wrong!
PS: don’t shout at me, I did read the manual 🙂
Araminta – I have no idea, you have done everything correctly as far as I can see. WordPress is at fault here – it is not doing what it says it should do.
Thank you, Oh Technical One, I’m miffed but not mortified any more , I thought it was OK too 🙂 I even tested it out on my own site first, and it work there, but I did add a few words here, so that may be the problem.
Now I’m really puzzled – I entered “edit” twice, did nothing, and now it works!
Perhaps WordPress are still recovering from their crash?
Hey, it’s working, thank you, whatever you didn’t do, Bearsy 🙂 I must go to bed now; and rest my tooth. Actually, it’s fine and totally pain free; I was just being a wimp 🙂
Sleep well, Araminta.
Great clip Araminta – one of my all time favourites.
