While we’re waiting for that picture, and with apologies for butting in to Jan’s post; anyone any idea what I do now (polite answers only, please, this is my first go)?
Hello Janh: Did you mean this?
Welcome Tambman – good to see you here. You now have author status, so your WordPress menu bar will allow your to write Posts (blogs). If you have any problems, just shout and someone will help! 😀
Hello Tambman: welcome! You are here, so first things first.:)
Thanks Bearsy and Araminta, for the welcome. I have gazing at this site for two nights, wondering whether to pluck up courage to join. Anyway, that is enough emotional upheaval for me for now, so goodnight, all.
That’s 3 copies you’ve uploaded now, Janh1 – do you want some help? Thanks LW for posting one of them!
Hello Bearsy: I left you a note on your “Hips and Tints” post. I found I could delete my own stuff from the”Trash Can” but could not mess with other peoples trash.
Hi LW, yes, I saw it thanks. It takes me a while to get going in the morning. 😦
Right, back to the post. It looks very English, she says with a certain amount of trepidation, knowing how close you live to the “border”. 🙂
LOL oh dear!! Thanks LW. I’m sure it was there when I put it there earlier, if you know what I mean!
Tee hee Bearsy. You can’t say I’m not trying. Yes that is the pic LW. And yes it is very English, Araminta.
LW – it’s your side of the river.
Bearsy YES I do want help. With pics, with fonts, with where I ask you for help….all of it really 😀
But going to bed now. Night! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Thanks Araminta – I was loathe to say that it looked English. It also looks as though it’s lost part of the churchyard…
Well, Boadicea: I’ve narrowed it down a bit; so let’s take a chance here and say it’s the River Severn! Nothing ventured and all that 🙂
Newnham on Severn…
Hello Boadicea: Does not look like Newnham Church to me, the “Cathedral of the Forest” is much more grand. Further upriver I would guess, maybe Hereford or even Shropshire. Not familiar country to me, the river is small in the picture, I’m more an estuary person, both here and there.
LW – it’s what I hope is an educated guess! Jan mentioned Newnham in her ‘Optimist’ blog, and I went agoogling…
Morning folks. Yup Boadicea you are correct. This is the view of Newnham from across the Severn at Arlingham.
LW Yes Newland is much more impressive. A friend was lead violin in the Forest orchestra when they performed the 1812 in Newland Church using crow-scarers! There were worries for the stained glass but all went well. Absolutely the best 1812 I’ve ever heard 🙂
Well done Boadicea, I guess my forty year absence has dimmed the memories somewhat.
Eek, this is really hard, a picture would help!
OK, really crule, Jan. I’ll come back in ten 🙂
Another bad snowstorm Janh?
