  1. When it comes to sleight of hand
    and disappearing tricks
    our young 18 year old
    with 14 on his back
    mesmerized us all
and got us out our seats

  2. Haw JW.

I was there for the first goal in the DC tribute. Standing in the Wheatfield Enclosure right in line with where he took off on that mazy run past most of our team. I still think that Zico Kidd should have kicked him over the McLeod Street stand roof before he got into his stride but it was a magic and unforgettable goal which allowed you to scramble a lucky draw. In my opinion.

One of the best players I ever had the privilege to watch in the flesh and a tragic loss when he died so young.

  3. Thanks Soutie for kicking off the contest. Even if it was with a funny shaped ball.

He now moonlights as the Queen of the South manager, Janus. Go Google.

Nice Stan Lee pastiche, Ara; I’ll make a True Believer of you yet.

Good to hear from you, John, hope Mrs M is keeping well. Davie, Davie Cooper. So good he was one of my battleships. Much missed.

  4. Let’s see if I can work a trick
with sleight of hand or form of magic,
Mid-summer is not so far away
and Puck himself might have his sway.

  5. Thanks PapaG. As one that is easily swayed your previous nice comments regarding that venerable, quintessential British institution, Glasgow Rangers, will go a long way in your favour. 🙂

  6. Thanks Bilby.

Trawling (a little nod to LW) through the archives I see PapaG has made an entry. Would some kind soul link it here to keep all the entries together. I would do it but I must remain impartial and above board.
(never mind that, fivers in the post most welcome)

  7. I see that PG’s entry is entitled ‘poof’. ‘Homgenious’ is it? (geni, gerrit? where’s the exit?)

    Where IS OZ, btw?
