Remember the picture I posted?
The house in the wood wot we love?
Well the paperwork’s going quite smoothly
And we’re fixing a date for the move.
I’ve got to admire Mrs Janus –
For her architect’s eye and her skill
At turning the place into ‘our’ place,
Saying where there’s a way there’s a will.
And a bonus I’ve found in the detail
Gives a boost to a roy’list like me.
Them woods wot surround our new palace
Belong to the Queen. Te he hee.
How utterly ironic that having fled the aristocracy’s machinations to profit from windmills you have taken refuge under the wings of royalty!
Lets hope she has too much money to fell the trees for timber!
Note your weather, ‘ouch’ for the end of March.
Excellent news, Janus. It sounds perfectly lovely. I hope it all works out, and you make your escape from the dreaded windmills.
please delete the superfluous “like”. I really should check these things before I hit the post button. 😦
Minty: like, you should totally like go to California like, you know?
And Janus gets his own Viking long house. Best wishes and let’s hope her majesty has a preference for undisturbed woodlands.
I’d really rather not, Christopher. 😉
I’ve like deleted it! 🙂
Christina, yes, the irony of it all! And it snoweth still……
Well for God’s sakes don’t make any comment about her children’s ears!
Tempting the fates far too much, you’ll end up with a chipping mill outside the front door!!
Munch your house up too if you aren’t careful.
Now that would make a terrible children’s fairy story a la Grimm.
No, I’ll have to curb my ‘Tasmanian She-Devil’ cracks (the Crown Princess from down-under). 🙂
