Similar thing happened some years ago to the people over the road. A youngster lost control and ploughed straight through their hedge. It was not the sort of thing one expects on a Sunday morning, and their hedge still hasn’t recovered.
Coincidentally, my first words were mocking my mother for getting into an auto wreck.
She did something similar.
Happens a lot in Seattle, generally high as kites, and American houses being basic shacks generally manages to plough straight through the house, reducing it to match sticks!
Lot to be said for the land mines in the drive theory!!!
CO: in eastern California many drivers from the Bay Area get into auto wrecks, especially during the winter when it begins to snow. They’re tolerated only because their tendency to drive far too fast means that the police simply give them tickets and live local residents alone. They make enough money from their stupidity to allow that financially.
