Revival of competitions?

There was talk a little while ago about reinstating the creative writing / short story competition at the start of the September term, or end of September – and now we are 2 days into October – so I thought I’d test the water on how interested folk are in taking part.

No time to lose. No, time to lose. Make time to stand and stare.... Did you see that?

  1. Thanks for this Pseu! You’ve saved me having to write a post!

I think it’s a good idea to test the water 🙂

  2. If people are interested I don’t mind starting the ball rolling… as I can’t remember who won the last competition

  3. One volunteer is worth ten … 🙂

So if people are interested in reviving the competition – you’ve got the job, Pseu!

  4. I’m all for it Pseu, although my contributions may be thin on the ground, lack of time etc. Nevertheless, I do enjoy reading other peoples writings, I hope that doesn’t sound selfish.

  5. Different courses for different horses, Soutie!
(Personally I felt Ara’s cropping one was an interesting one in photographic terms.)

    I shall start thinking.

  6. That would be good, very good. I need the practice; all I do is mess around online, if I don’t have some concrete writing thing to do…

  7. Good for you, Nym (especially as I raised this issue and then did nothing about it!)

I’ll have a go at the short story competition, but am nervous about poetry, although I do love to read the entries.
