You may have seen this already, but in case you haven’t –
Accents Restaurant and Cafe in Kingaroy beat West End’s The Gunshop Cafe and Lock’n’Load Bistro to be named the best cafe restaurant in Brisbane and the Darling Downs at the 2011 Savour Australia Restaurant and Catering Awards.
Well, knock me down with a kangaroo, I left too early!
I’m amazed and delighted. Fame at last for dear old Kingaroy for something which doesn’t involve peanuts (although they may have a few signature recipes).
My friends have been sadly lacking in the news department.
Thanks, Bearsy, very interesting. ๐
Blimey.
It looks quite civilised. ๐
How very dare you, Araminta! (copyright Ferret). ๐
or Sir Joh …
Well, they wouldn’t need to issue allergy warnings about Sir Joh.
Unfortunately Google Street View is sadly out of date.
But here’s a link.
Sir Joh’s memory is a warning in itself. ๐
Yes indeed! ๐
Thanks for the link. Nothing in the menu remotely objectionable to the good people of Kingaroy, imo, but the prices! Shocking!
I hate to tell you this, Bilby, but those prices are reasonably modest these days. The days of mains being around $15 – $17 have long gone. $25 to $35 is more typical now. ๐ฆ
Oh dear!
On that unhappy note, Bearsy, I’ll say goodnight to you and goodbye to a fillet steak in Australia … not that I ever found one in Kingaroy. ๐
