Photo cropping – 11th photo comp.

Ara’s requirements for the latest photo comp are I think not a simple close up cropped from an existing picture but perhaps something cropped from the picture which has nothing to do with the subject and changes the whole context of the photo (and in my case is actually quite funny!)

I could of course be wrong 😉

I did get some beauties of the construction guys once the bakkie moved on, it must be scary stuff being up there, I was very impressed.

    Now I don’t mind if one wants to do the same with a photograph one has taken earlier, or indeed get closer, but you have sussed out exactly what I am looking for. In my example, I didn’t notice I had included the milk bottles but after the event, cropping the picture gave it a completely different focus.!

  2. I thought as much, the first 2 pics are cropped from the complete picture (the 3rd) but if viewed individually you would never guess 🙂

  4. I also think you have made the point that you can take high resolution photographs, crop them to change the composition and focus, with no appreciable loss of detail.

    And as you said, you were not taking a photograph of the truck in the first place!

  9. I have a photo (not my own) of similar shot, wth a van emblazoned with the logo “Stiff Nipples Air Conditioning” and a London phone number.

    I also heard of the advert, “Ear piercing while you wait.”

  11. Hee hee 🙂 morning all

    Just had a visitor who saw these pictures and he commented that he knew the construction crew! All East European he says (Romania, Czechoslovakia were mentioned), they were accommodated at a guest house near him and drank at his local.

    On completion here they were off to South America to work on a job there.
