Mystery 1
Clue: the shiny part is water spilled on something based on wool –
well done Claire! It is a carpet with something spilled on it (flower water)

Mystery 2
Clue: not a leaf, but certainly a part of a plant, with the sun shining through it..
here it is

Mystery 3
More water spilled on something. (the cat’s fault) revealed below from slightly further out:

Mystery 4
Val was right:
Any ideas?

The last one is a snowdrop? the one above is a reflection of?? I’ll be back Pseu
Correct, 4 is a snowdrop.
No 2, is it a leaf? The first one is stumping me good and proper, hang on, I’ll study it again.
2 – plant material, but not a leaf
Hmm, 3 looks like a fork in batter or a cake mix.
1 could be a fruit jelly or something similar, and 2 looks like an onion skin.
I could, of course, be hopelessly wrong.
All wrong, Ara…
Oh well, I’ll have another think. 🙂
Are you making a rug in No.1?
1. Doormat with decomposing blue alien?
Marvellous, Christina. I wish I could say ‘yes’ to that answer.
Pseu
I loved Christina’s comment too – perhaps you could create a ‘prize’ for most ‘inventive’ answer!
She’s winning that one… though Ara’s “Hmm, 3 looks like a fork in batter or a cake mix.
1 could be a fruit jelly or something similar, and 2 looks like an onion skin” made me laugh out loud!
A few clues added
The first one looks like my carpet because stuff has been spilt on it…
Yes, Claire, it is a carpet… actually a table runner, but a proper carpet runner as well! I had some flowers on the table and the cat knocked them over. The way the water dat on the surface intrigued me
Oh good picture then. But, at the risk of giving myself away as bad housewife, what is a carpet runner..?
Ah, well Christina and I were quite close then, Nym. 🙂
yes Ara!
A few more pictures added so you can see what the others are.
The carpet runner is a narrow strip of carpet, often put down in halls… mine sits on the table
Well done Pseu, that was a cracker of a ‘guess what’.
Pseu – thanks for part 2! I’ve come to it a bit late with only one remaining!
Mystery 3 – I though at first it looked like parmesan cheese, but I’m going to try a pine kitchen table?
Waxed oak! But yes a table, well done.
Sorry you missed the earlier ones, cuprum426 (why the number BTW?)
Solve the name, solve the number!! 😀
Ah, got it! 🙂
Well done, Eliza. 🙂
?
Am I being thick?
Well cuprum, copper atomic number is 29… am I going in the right direction?
Pseu – you’re not being thick at all! I have to confess to not really wishing to reveal – sorry!
I would have been 683 had I still been working at my previous location! That won’t help I know, but Bearsy is spot on!
You can trust me…. I won’t tell 🙂
Crikey, Pseu, you’ve gone all macro! 🙂 Beoootiful snowdrop.
Ta muchly, Jan
