It seems as if the Jockish Tories have rediscovered their backbone.

Aren’t those lecterns facing away from Mr Speaker?

It’s part of the design of the Holyrood Parliament Building……….a monstrosity inside and out. Compare it to Holyrood Palace and weep.

Jazz: It also happens to be conveniently located by a manhole cover which emits noxious fumes from the sewer below.

Jazz: Re. the title, how do you know? Have you been looking up his kilt? 🙂 Actually, it is good for the followers of the Poison Dwarf to be told a few home truths!

FEEG, I can’t see if he’s wearing a kilt. Of course it’s only a matter of time until kilt wearing becomes compulsory.

FEEG, I say! As long as Nicola wears the trews, the fellas have no choice.

A Good New Year to you FEEG, Piss poor kiltish joke.

    Felicitations to jazz as well.

Us Jock Tories have been blessed by the quality of our 2015 intake of MSPs. Ross Thomson is a definite plus.

As is Annie Wells MSP whom you can see sitting behind him:-

‘For those used to political and class stereotypes, there would appear to be something topsy turvy about the state of Scottish politics at the moment. Yesterday Tory candidate Annie Wells revealed that she was the daughter of a cleaner who used to tidy the house of a sheet metal worker and trade unionist who was to become a very well-known Labour MP.

As a single mum from the East End of Glasgow who works for Marks & Spencer, Ms Wells would not perhaps be everyone’s idea of a traditional Conservative politician. But her energy and her ability has marked her out as one of the ones to watch amongst the Conservatives hoping to make their way to Holyrood for the first time.

Yesterday, she introduced Ruth Davidson when the Conservative leader addressed supporters at an eve of election “rally” at Edinburgh’s Botanic Gardens. In her preamble, Ms Wells told the gathering her mother used to work for Michael Martin, the former House of Commons speaker now known as Baron Martin of Springburn.

“My mum completely confused the former speaker Michael Martin,” Ms Wells told her fellow activists. “She used to be his cleaner and she bumped into him in the shops the other day and she told him: ‘I’m voting Tory on Thursday” ‘

Moving on, most Jock Tories voted Remain. I suppose we believed that pooling sovereignty with our fellow Brits had worked and we tended to support giving the EU a chance in case that worked out OK as well.

I am absolutely certain that the overwhelming majority of those same Jock Tories accept that our country voted Leave and now believe that we will make a success of Brexit.

Whatever our past we have a 300 year history of being proud Brits and an integral part of a great country.

    Uppards!

JM – your Annie Wells seems to be much the same as Andrea Jenkyns who beat Ed Balls in the last election… and indeed much like my mother, who, from a pretty poor background, was a Tory all her life.

I shall never forget attending a Lambeth meeting of some sort where Ken Livingstone virtually levitated and screeched “Get that woman (my mother) out of here!’ when we walked in. She had numerous arguments with the likes of Harman and others of even better fame and higher ‘class’ when they accused her of being ‘a traitor’ to her roots … I never heard what she said, but I’m sure she made her case loud and clear!

I asked a question on another post as to how your imminent local elections will help in cutting the SNP down to size. I don’t expect you will have any problem with my saying that they really are a nasty bunch… but from what I’ve read they seem likely to have an increased majority in those elections.
